Us Against the World: A Washington Rowing Legacy tells the story of a University of Washington rowing crew who developed such a remarkable cadence that they qualified—against all odds—for the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. One young man in particular—Joe Rantz—found trust among his teammates, despite a life of hardship and abandonment.

It is narrated by Jennifer Huffman, the granddaughter of Joe Rantz—who continues to benefit from Joe's life lessons to this day.

It had its world premiere on May 28, 2018 at the Oscar-qualifying Seattle International Film Festival.
